The charity chosen at the AGM for the 2025/26 year from 5th April 2025 is Cancer Research UK.
The charity SYDA supported from 6th May 2024 until 5th April 2025 was
THE ROYAL NATIONAL LIFEBOAT INSTITUTION. (RNLI)
SYDA raised a total of £2089.51 for the R.N.L.I. in the 2024/25 season.

Charity news from the May Day Meet 2024 (Updated 9.5.24)
The amount collected at the May Day meet for this years SYDA charity (The RNLI) by donating goods for auction and buying raffle tickets was a staggering: £246.30.
AND THERE'S MORE.....
A further £116 was raised for the RNLI during the meet by donations made to, and sales from, the charity table in the booking in tent.
That makes the grand total £362
A great big THANK YOU to all who contributed.
The full years total will be announced at the 2025 AGM next year.
The two charities shown below received cheques at the AGM on 6th April 2024...
£2921.69. was raised by SYDA in 2023/24 for
The Childrens Air Ambulance.
This cheque was presented to Cherry Crane who thanked SYDA on behalf of her charity.
Another smaller amount raised was also passed to the charity after the presentation.

A total of £2533.43. was raised by SYDA in 2022/23 for
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
This cheque was handed to Karina Tape who thanked SYDA on behalf of the charity.
Thank you for all of your support.
The attached letter and certificate were received from the Childrens Air Ambulance thanking SYDA for the donation of £2921.69 handed over to the charity at the 2024 AGM.
